When ever I am doing patchwork, I always press my seams open unless I am not working with squares or rectangles. However, there are those odd times when I want to do something completely different. In those times, I would use finished seams.
I just released a video showing how to do finished seams. This post is basically a follow up of that video because there are some things I forgot to mention. To help you understand the stitching when following the video, I forgot to mention that I was using red thread in the bobbin and black thread in the needle.
Also, I did not show the measurements of the blocks afterwards. So, I have added some photos below showing the exact measurements of the middle strip as well as the two outside strips.
As you can see in the photos, the middle strip should measure 2 inches and the other two strips should both measure 2 1/2 inches.
